Tear It Up (Live) by Queen

Album: Queen Live At Wembley '86
Year: 1986
No. of pages: 1

Tuning:

Standard EADG

NOTES:

This shortened version of the track is part of a medley and actually starts with the riff of Liar from Queen 1 but I've missed that bit out as it's a totally different song. John Deacon must have knocked his E string(?) tuning key during the verse, as when he comes back in for the second chorus he's quite badly flat and it takes the whole of the chorus before he's re-tuned on the fly.

This isn't the only howler by John on this album... have a listen to his first note on Now I'm Here - he plays a B instead of an A and it really sticks out. I'm quite surprised that Queen didn't fix this in post production and do a few overdubs. Have a listen to the bass solo on the Live Killers fast version of We Will Rock You which sounds to me as if they've (rather badly) overdubbed his little bass section. Anyway Live At Wembley is a fantastic album and I recommend that you all go out and buy a copy immediately!
